In response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, the Student Payment Center is working remotely until further notice. Our office is closed to in-person visits, but we remain open by phone and email during normal business hours:

Modified Procedures

Since we are not on campus, some things you used to be able to do in our office or by sending mail to our office should be done by email or phone, instead.

Provide missing information for your 1098-T

Contact us at payments@pitt.edu or 412-624-7520 for instructions. Please do not send faxes as we are not physically in the office to retrieve them.

Pay your Thesis Processing Fee

Email payments@pitt.edu with your name, student ID, and the fee amount. We will post the fee to PittPAY so you can pay it online. PittPAY will email you a receipt that you can forward to your academic department.

Submit documentation for a PA tuition rate petition

View the requirements and submit your documentation by email to tuition@cfo.pitt.edu.

Withdraw from the University

Email us at resignation@cfo.pitt.edu or call (412) 624-7585, where you will be prompted to leave information. Student Appeals will contact you by the following business day to discuss your questions and provide you with information to help you decide the best course of action.

Outside scholarship checks for Summer 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021:

While we are operating remotely, we are still posting outside scholarship checks that are mailed to our office onto students’ accounts multiple times per month. You can monitor the Account Activity tab in PittPAY to see when your outside scholarships have been posted.

If you are enrolled in a payment plan for a term for which you are expecting an outside scholarship, and the scholarship hasn’t been posted yet, you may call us at 412-624-7520 or email payments@pitt.edu to request a reduction in your next installment to account for this. Payment plan installments are processed on the 5th of each month, so contact us no later than Noon on the 4th if you have this request. Always include your 7-digit student ID when emailing us.
